Citrus Recruit are excited to be recruiting on behalf of a global manufacturing company to recruit for an experienced Maintenance Engineer.
You’ll be based in a manufacturing plant environment, where no two days are the same. Expect a fast-paced setting with exposure to machinery, mechanical systems, and varied temperatures, ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all mechanical systems across the site.
Overtime and on-call support may occasionally be required to minimise production downtime.
Responsibilities & day to day duties
As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for:
* Planning and scheduling preventive and predictive maintenance to keep machinery operating efficiently.
* Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues, identifying root causes, and coordinating complex fixes.
* Conducting regular inspections to ensure equipment performance and safety compliance.
* Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and parts inventory.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop process improvement strategies.
* Ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance across all maintenance activities.
Skills & experience required.
* Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* 2–5 years’ experience in a maintenance engineering role within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
* Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
* Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
* Health & Safety awareness and a commitment to working to high standards.
* Preferably experienced with ATEX-rated equipment and chemical blending processes.
Benefits
* Salary of up to £37,000
* Hours: 40 hours per week
* Monday–Thursday: 7:45am–4:30pm (½ hour lunch)
* Friday: 7:45am–1:30pm (no lunch)
* Holidays: 25 days per year plus bank holidays
