Job Title: Van Driver / Warehouse Operative
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, with every other Saturday 8:00am to 12:00pm - Flexibility required depending on business needs.
Responsible to: Parts Manager
Essential Criteria
* Full, clean UK driving licence
* 1–3 years’ van driving experience (automotive sector experience desirable)
* 1–3 years’ warehouse and/or parts handling experience, preferably automotive
* Strong knowledge of the UK road network (European driving experience desirable)
* Able to safely lift a minimum of 30kg
* Presentable with excellent communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and time management
* Competent using Microsoft Office
* Forklift licence desirable but not essential
* Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
General Overview of the Role
This dual-role position combines warehouse responsibilities with van driving duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe handling, storage, and dispatch of vehicle parts, as well as the collection and delivery of goods using company vans.
Main Activities of the Role
Driving and Transportation
* Safely collect and deliver vehicle parts using company vans
* Plan efficient routes using navigation tools and traffic awareness
* Conduct daily ‘before use’ vehicle checks and report any issues
* Adhere to company policies and the Highway Code while driving
Warehouse Operations
* Receive and inspect incoming vehicle parts
* Label and package parts for storage or dispatch
* Store parts in the correct warehouse locations
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
* Support with stock organisation and basic stock level checks
* Assist in managing tyre inventory and packaging supplies
Customer & Supplier Interaction
* Represent employer professionally during all collections and deliveries
* Communicate clearly and courteously with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
Other Duties
* Support occasional site maintenance or vehicle preparation
* Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by management
