The University of Wolverhampton is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Home Admissions Manager to join our newly formed Directorate of Student Recruitment and Admissions.
About the Role
As Home Admissions Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a responsive, efficient, and compliant admissions service that supports the University’s ambitious home recruitment strategy. You will lead and coach a team of Senior Admissions Officers and Specialists, ensuring that home applications are processed in line with regulatory requirements and service level agreements (SLAs), while maintaining a strong focus on applicant experience and data integrity.
This is a key leadership role requiring a proactive, solutions-focused individual who can drive continuous improvement, foster collaboration, and act as a trusted advisor across the institution.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading the home admissions function from initial enquiry to enrolment.
Managing complex admissions cases, including fee status, qualification equivalency, and fraud investigations.
Driving service innovation and embedding continuous improvement across all processes.
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with academic regulations and sector best practice.
Supporting the delivery of key recruitment activities such as Clearing, Open Days, and Outreach Events.
What We’re Looking For
A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Significant experience in home admissions within Higher Education.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on coaching and development.
In-depth knowledge of UK admissions regulations and sector best practice.
Experience using student systems such as SITS and e:Vision.
Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and continuous improvement.

Additional Information
This is a full-time role with two designated office-based days each week.
During peak periods, additional on-campus presence may be required to support service delivery.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00.
