TPF Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established, independent accountancy practice in the TW area that is looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join their friendly and close-knit team.

The practice works with a broad range of clients including SMEs, owner-managed businesses and individuals, providing high-quality bookkeeping and advisory support.
The Role
As a Bookkeeper, you will manage your own portfolio of clients and take responsibility for delivering accurate and timely bookkeeping and VAT services.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing a portfolio of bookkeeping clients across a variety of industries
* Processing sales and purchase invoices, bank reconciliations and general ledger entries
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
* Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
* Liaising directly with clients and acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day queries
* Supporting clients with cloud accounting systems and providing guidance where required
* Assisting with year-end processes and working closely with the accounts team
* Identifying opportunities to improve client processes and efficiencies
RequirementsThe Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will likely have:
* Previous experience in a bookkeeping role within an accountancy practice
* Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and VAT processes
* Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Confident communication skills and a client-focused approach
* A proactive mindset with a willingness to support the wider team
