About the Role
* Delivering dynamic and inspiring Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach KS5
* Bringing the Art curriculum to life through bold concepts, immersive projects, and meaningful cross-curricular links
* Fostering an inclusive, vibrant studio culture where all students feel empowered to explore, experiment, and express themselves
* Leading innovative projects, exhibitions, and enrichment activities that celebrate student creativity and enhance cultural capital
* Incorporating contemporary practices and digital media to engage learners through modern, forward-thinking pedagogy
* Actively contributing to whole-school events and supporting a flourishing, collaborative creative arts department
The ideal candidate will
* Holds QTS (or is currently training towards it), with a degree in Art, Fine Art, Design, or a closely related discipline
* Demonstrates a strong personal portfolio and a genuine passion for inspiring others through creative practice
* Confident in delivering a broad range of artistic techniques — from traditional methods like drawing and sculpture to contemporary approaches including photography and digital media
* Brings creativity, enthusiasm, and innovative thinking to their teaching
* Builds positive relationships with students, encouraging confidence, independence, and a willingness to take creative risks
* Highly organised and an effective communicator, with a strong commitment to continuous professional development
