Role: Solution Architect (Cards & Payment)
Location: Northampton, UK (Hybrid: 2-3 days onsite/week)
Contract: Inside IR35
Rate: 445 GBP/Day
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Expertise in architecting solutions across Cards-related technologies, Open Banking, Tokenization
* Proven ability to thrive in unstructured, ambiguous environments; adaptable to influence outcomes
* Experience managing diverse stakeholders and influencing conflicting objectives to deliver pragmatic solutions
* Knowledge of financial services business and applications
* Ability to present complex technical ideas clearly, both written and verbal
* Banking (retail) experience
* Experience working in highly regulated environments
* Exposure to API design strategies for internal and external use
* Experience with Cloud technologies; AWS Solution Architect certification (foundation level or higher)
* Understanding of ITIL principles and working with service management teams
* Application/Infrastructure/Enterprise Architecture training and certification (e.g., TOGAF)
* Data architecture and migration experience is beneficial
Primary Responsibilities:
* Define and document technical solutions for Cards-related applications, middleware, and customer-facing integrations
* Lead liaison with business clients to shape ideas into comprehensive requirements
* Support design and integration throughout the software development lifecycle
* Drive collaboration across design and build teams, ensuring adherence to defined design
* Maintain technical integrity and quality of applications aligned with architecture strategy
