IO Associates are partnered with a rapidly scaling consultancy who are offering an exciting opportunity for a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to join their team on a contract basis.
You'll be joining our growing data team at a pivotal moment as we establish ourselves as an end-to-end Microsoft Fabric partner. This isn't about maintaining legacy systems, this is about building the future of how enterprise clients handle data migration, implementation, and ongoing data strategy. You'll be working with Fabric across the full data lifecycle and helping some of the UK's most exciting companies and global brands transform their approach to data.
Role: Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer
Location: Remote (UK)
Rate: £450 - 550 per day - Outside IR35
Contract: 3 Month, with the chance to extend
What You'll Do
* Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines in Python and SQL to support complex enterprise data migrations and integrations
* Work with Microsoft Fabric across ingestion, transformation, and analytics
* Design and deliver scalable data solutions that enable modern reporting and insights
* Take responsibility for data quality, governance, and best practice in live projects
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative Fabric-driven solutions
* Contribute to internal tooling and methodologies that differentiate us in the market
Required Skills & Experience
* 3+ years experience as a Microsoft Data Engineer
* Strong hands-on ability in Python and SQL
* Good understanding of ETL processes, data architecture, and clean data practices
* Hands on experience with Microsoft Fabric
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work quickly and innovate under pressure
* Great communication skills, able to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
