Job Title: HI AB Driver
Join our established team of highly qualified HI AB drivers in delivering equipment to North West locations, including remote store locations, plants, and equipment for Utilities contracts. This includes equipment for planned works to Sub Stations and treatment works such as electrical transformers, switchgear, water pumps, and pipes.
Your role involves ensuring the safe and effective delivery of challenging and diverse equipment to sites and points of use in time-critical, challenging, and dynamic environments.
You will utilize industry-leading delivery and lifting equipment following robust safe operating procedures and best practice processes.
Job Responsibilities
* Deliver plant and equipment to fixed sites based on weekly replenishment stock orders
* Deliver plant and equipment for planned maintenance and emergency outage situations
* Cover out-of-hours and weekend shift rotations
* Display a ‘can do’ attitude, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective deliveries
* Identify risks dynamically and ensure safety and effectiveness in delivery
* Follow strict safety procedures and standard operating processes
* Use initiative confidently and safely, adapting to dynamic lifting environments
* Work effectively as part of a team or independently
Qualifications and Skills
* Full UK Driving License
* Current class 2 license and digital Tachograph card
* Understanding of manual handling operations regulations 1992 SI 2793
* CSCS or ALLMI approved lorry-mounted crane operator license
* Additional lifting, Banksman, or rigging qualifications are advantageous
* Experience in utilities or similar industry with HI AB or equivalent equipment
* Proven ability to handle heavy and difficult machine and plant movements
* Ability to work as part of a team or independently
