Established principally in Ontario, Canada, St. Marys CBM is the building materials division of St. Marys Cement. Our CBM Aggregates division is a leading producer of high-quality aggregate products with twelve sand and gravel operations and quarries competing in the Southern Ontario market which consumes over 140 million tonnes of aggregate annually. This position is for a Student based in Sunderland and is for students available between April – December 2026.
Responsibilities
* Visit job sites, perform ongoing CSA & ASTM concrete and raw materials testing. Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
* Promotes value added products, collects market and job information.
* Supervises and plans for efficient use of materials and equipment.
* Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards or procedures.
* Reviews and supervises the work of third-party Concrete Testing Services.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Currently enrolled in Civil Engineering Technician (CET) program, or similar program.
* Fundamental knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel).
* Ability to perform physical tasks outside.
* Construction field experience would be an asset.
* Valid G2 or G Driver’s license and ability to drive a company pickup truck.
* 3-year clean drivers abstract.
* Must be able to lift up 50lbs.
