We’re looking for a Principal Town Planner to help us deliver bold, sustainable growth and innovation as part of a high-performing Development Management Team shaping the future of our borough.
Why This Role
You’ll be the lead officer for major, high-profile planning applications, including sustainable urban extensions and strategic land allocations as part of our Local Plan. You’ll work at the heart of a holistic, co-located team of expert consultees, all dedicated to delivering excellent planning outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Lead on major planning applications and appeals, ensuring robust, high-quality decision-making.
* Collaborate with officers, elected members, communities, and stakeholders to deliver sustainable development.
* Contribute to the Local Plan and strategic planning initiatives.

* Proven experience in managing complex planning applications and appeals.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.

* The ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with stakeholders.
