SEND Teaching Assistant

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive school in Swindon who are looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from January.
This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, helping them to engage with learning and achieve their full potential in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND
*
Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH or learning difficulties
*
Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
*
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
*
Supporting pupils with personal care where required
*
Working closely with teachers, SENDCo and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have previous experience working with children with SEND (school-based experience desirable)
*
Be patient, caring and resilient
*
Have a positive and flexible approach to work
*
Be committed to safeguarding and pupil welfare
*
Be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check
