This role is based in a specialist school near East Grinstead supporting children and young people with Autism. The school provides a structured, nurturing, and highly supportive environment, using Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) with a strong focus onmunication, independence, and life skills.The school is a lovely, well‑resourced setting located in peaceful surroundings and is currently expanding, offering exciting opportunities to grow alongside the school. Due to the rural location, the ability to drive is essential.
Your new role
We are seeking amitted and confident Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to support pupils on a 1:1 and small‑group basis.
While candidates do not need extensive years of experience, this role does require relevant, practical experience working with Autism and an understanding of ABA.This is an ideal role for someone who already has exposure to autism and behavioural approaches and is ready to step into a rewarding specialist environment.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Relevant experience working with children or young people with Autism
2. Prior exposure to or practical awareness of Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA)
3. Confidence working independently with pupils when required
4. Calm, resilient and proactive approach
5. Strong teamwork andmunication skills
6. Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential)
