Role Overview
We are currently looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our agency team, supporting well-established nurseries in the Cardiff area. In this role, you will work alongside experienced childcare professionals to help provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and develop.

This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in an early years setting, explore a career in childcare, or enjoy the flexibility that agency work can offer. Whether you are starting your journey in early years education or seeking a role that fits around other commitments, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills while making a positive impact on children’s lives.

Key Responsibilities

Support children’s play, learning, and daily routines, helping to create a stimulating and enjoyable environment that encourages development.

Assist in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-organised setting that promotes children’s wellbeing and learning.

Work alongside nursery staff to supervise children and support mealtimes, snack times, and personal hygiene routines, ensuring their health and safety at all times.

Prepare, set up, and tidy away activities, equipment, and resources throughout the day to maintain an engaging learning environment.

Build positive relationships with children, encouraging confidence, independence, creativity, and curiosity through play and interaction.

Support the delivery of age-appropriate activities that contribute to children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care and professionalism.

Required Skills & Experience

A genuine interest in supporting children’s development and a passion for early years education

Ability to work well within a team and follow guidance, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
