1:1 Learning Support Assistant (Term Time Only) £16,697 per year Term time only A specialist school is seeking a resilient and experienced 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support a pupil joining the school shortly. The school supports children and young people aged 2–19 years with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and additional needs. Many pupils require tailored support to help them develop their communication, emotional regulation, independence and social skills. Staff work collaboratively to provide a structured, nurturing environment where pupils can thrive and achieve their potential. The school operates across a large, well-resourced site, providing specialist learning spaces and facilities designed to support pupils with a range of learning needs. The Role We are currently recruiting for a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work with a Year 6 pupil who will be joining the school shortly. The pupil has a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) profile and can display aggressive behaviour at times, so the role requires someone who is calm, patient and able to manage challenging situations positively.
