The Role
As a Chemistry Teacher, you will be the subject specialist within a collaborative Science faculty. You will deliver high-quality, practical-led lessons across KS3 and KS4, with a significant opportunity to lead A-Level Chemistry for a candidate with strong theoretical knowledge and a passion for post-16 success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Practical Mastery: Designing and supervising safe, engaging lab experiments—from titrations and organic synthesis to identifying unknown ions.
* Curriculum Delivery: Teaching core concepts including atomic structure, bonding, quantitative chemistry, and the periodic table.
* STEM Advocacy: Contributing to the school’s extracurricular program, including Science clubs, Royal Society of Chemistry competitions, and university outreach.
* Safety Leadership: Working closely with a dedicated team of technicians to ensure all practical work meets the highest Health & Safety standards (CLEAPSS).
