MMP Consultancy is seeking an Electrical Compliance Manager on behalf of a Local Authority based in Worcestershire. This is a temporary 3-month ongoing position subject to extension. The rate of pay is £28.51ph via an umbrella company, over a 37-hour working week. The successful candidate will lead all electrical compliance functions across the Council's housing stock and corporate assets, ensuring full statutory compliance with health and safety legislation and electrical standards. This is a hands-on, leadership role managing electrical contractors, supervising staff, overseeing EICRs, and delivering a high-quality service to residents. Responsibilities: Manage electrical compliance across housing assets, ensuring full legal and regulatory compliance. Act as the responsible person for delivering statutory electrical safety services. Oversee and manage the delivery of the EICR and remedial works programme. Develop and maintain an electrical compliance schedule. Lead the management of electrical contractors and supervise in-house Electrical Supervisors. Monitor service delivery and escalate performance or risk issues. Produce compliance performance reports for senior officers and councillors. Maintain membership and compliance with regulatory bodies (e.g. NICEIC/ELECSA/ECA). Support procurement of contracts and participate in contract management meetings. Manage associated budgets and ensure robust financial control. Support service improvement using systems thinking methodology and customer feedback.Requirements: Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in electrical servicing and compliance (domestic and commercial). Qualifications must include C&G 2365 Level 2 & 3 or equivalent, NVQ AM2, C&G 2382 (18th Edition), C&G 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing) or Recognised Health & Safety qualification Strong experience managing contractors, electrical safety projects, and team performance. Proven experience in contract administration, project management, and budget handling. Excellent knowledge of electrical legislation, British Standards and Approved Codes of Practice. Experience using asset management and compliance systems. Strong communication and leadership skills with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.Desirable: Degree, HNC or HND in Building Services, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. NICEIC, ECA, IET). Recognised Project Management or Quality Assurance qualification
