Job Purpose:
The purpose of the role is to:
1. Support the Procurement Excellence Director to implement governance controls ensuring compliance to both company and regulatory requirements.
2. Drive the implementation of standardised operational processes across the wider procurement function to drive clarity of information and reporting.
3. Monitor compliance of adherence to processes and drive corrective action both internally and across third party suppliers (in conjunction with the owner of the commercial relationship).
4. Drive continuous improvement across all procurement technology platforms and processes.to meet the needs to the business.
5. Help shape Procurement technology strategy to drive transactional efficiency and clarity of data.
Role Requirements
Principal Responsibilities:
6. Proactively develop, improve and embed procurement processes, systems and reporting capabilities across the function.
7. Develop a supplier relationship management framework and performance measurement tools and ensure it is used to drive supplier performance, innovation and value opportunities.
8. Manage supplier compliance risk, ensuring that the procurement team are fully aware of and effectively managing third party risk.
9. Provide support and guidance to the function in the resolution of issues resulting from supplier non-compliance.
10. Implement procurement processes and policies to drive standardisation in category management and across the wider procurement team.
11. Work with the Procurement Excellence Director to establish robust governance in procurement.
12. Develop processes that are aligned with leading practice and Princes’ standards (including regulatory, ethical, sustainability, technical and customer requirements).
13. Drive procurement process consistency and manage compliance.
14. Manage procurement process audits to ensure alignment with policies and procedures.
15. Support in defining procurement technology strategy and ensure functionality supports Princes’ procurement vision.
16. Manage training relevant to technology, process and compliance for procurement and wider business as required.
17. Manage the relationship with procurement technology vendors.
18. Ensure the quality of inputs to technology systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
19. Well-developed understanding of Procurement tools and processes and have a proven track record in process and continuous improvement.
20. Degree level qualification, ideally business-related.
21. Understanding of category management tools and processes such as (but not limited to) Purchase Price Cost Analysis (PPCA), Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
22. Excellent working knowledge of contracts, framework agreements and key legal principles.
23. Conversant with the development and management of supplier relationship management programs.
24. Experienced in the use of Procurement related technologies such as source to pay, contract management systems and ERP systems such as SAP/SAP Ariba.
25. Excellent communication and influencing skills.
26. Comfortable in managing change.
27. Good business acumen – able to stop opportunities to drive benefit.
28. Advanced teamwork skills and able to actively encourage others to work collaboratively, strengthening internal relationships.
29. Creative in solving problems and passionate about continuing to innovate.
30. Strong numerical and analytical skillset.
31. Can grasp technical information and understand its practical application in relation to driving improvements.
