We're looking for an Enterprise Risk Specialist to join the Risk & Compliance Division. This pivotal role will focus on designing, implementing, and embedding components of our Risk and Material Controls Programmes. Acting as a subject matter expert, you'll ensure our enterprise risk framework remains robust, effective, and aligned to the scale and complexity of the SJP business model.
Main Responsibilities
* Design and develop new risk framework components using in-depth risk and controls knowledge.
* Lead the development and evolution of the risk taxonomy and Group-level Risk Appetite Statements (RAS), ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.
* Prepare updates, materials, and reports for programme governance forums including ExCos, GEC, and Boards.
* Support the development and maintenance of the Group Policy Suite, ensuring appropriate adherence across the business.
* Assist the First Line in monitoring and ensuring the effectiveness of material controls.
* Act as a key contributor to cross-functional programme teams, coordinating with stakeholders across the 1st and 2nd line functions.

Your ability to balance robust governance with commercial pragmatism will be critical to success.
Key Skills/Experience:
Essential:
* Proven experience designing and implementing risk frameworks and control processes.
* Strong knowledge of the three lines of defence model and experience within a 1st or 2nd line risk function in financial services.
* Ability to identify, assess and challenge risks and provide innovative, proportionate solutions.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders.
Desirable:
* Professional risk qualification (or working towards one).
* Experience developing Risk Appetite Statements and taxonomies.
* Familiarity with regulatory expectations and industry best practice in risk management.
* Prior experience coordinating governance materials and steering groups in a programme
