Service Operations Manager - Equans Digital
Equans is seeking a Service Operations Manager to join our Digital business, managing a BMS Engineering team from our Midlands office on a permanent, full-time basis.

We enhance user experiences by integrating disruptive digital technology and data insights to deliver value for money, ultimately improving building and energy performance. We aim to disrupt traditional energy and service approaches within buildings through in-house technology and forward-thinking consultancy, reducing total ownership costs for customers.

1. Integrating building BMS systems into our SaaS platform
2. Using IoT sensors to influence behavioral patterns
3. Connecting buildings via IoT sensors fed into our SaaS platform
The Service Operations Manager will report to the Head of Maintenance, working within the Maintenance and Small Works business stream, primarily overseeing service contracts, reactive, and small works, managing a team of engineers based in Southern England.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate in client operational meetings
* Maintain customer retention and order book
* Plan and ensure efficient resource allocation
* Attend team meetings and forecast labor needs weekly
* Price projects and additional works
* Retain engineers through personnel management and appraisals
* Assist in recruiting new staff
* Grow the order book through customer engagement
* Ensure out-of-hours engineer coverage across the region
* Maintain staffing levels for regional call-outs
* Provide technical support to the engineering team
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should have a background in BMS with supervisory experience, ideally holding an HND in engineering and familiarity with equipment from Trend, Siemens, Cylon, or Priva.
* Strong organizational skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
* Customer relationship management skills
* Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook
* Experience in a service environment
* Electrical knowledge and awareness of IEE Regulations
* Understanding of HVAC systems and controls
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations
