Pinnacle Group is seeking an experienced Caretaker to maintain our buildings and facilities, ensuring they are secure, functional, and compliant with Health & Safety standards.
You will be part of our Facilities Management team based at schools in Exeter. Your duties will include routine maintenance, repairs, security, and cleanliness. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills. If you take pride in creating safe, welcoming environments, we encourage you to apply.
The working hours are 8 hours between 06:00 and 18:00.

Key responsibilities:
* Maintain security of school buildings and grounds through locking/unlocking, patrols, and monitoring.
* Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance as per each school's schedule and your skills.
* Assist external service providers with access, escorting, and liaising for remedial or scheduled work.
* Carry out minor repairs and decoration works.
* Respond to emergencies such as floods or bodily fluids, executing rectifications per procedures and timescales.
* Check BMS, boilers, hot water systems, pest inspections, drains, and plant rooms.
* Perform daily duties like litter picking, bin emptying, sweeping, and toilet maintenance.
Key Requirements
* General handyman skills including DIY, minor plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
* A friendly and approachable personality.
* Ability to liaise with external service providers.
* Teamwork skills.
