Are you ready for a new challenge within Construction Logistics? We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Buildings (Construction) Logistics Manager at Hinkley Point C. You will provide support with a managed operational building logistics service by reviewing and implementing SOPs, ensuring the organisational structure is relevant, and ensuring Supervisors and Chargehands carry out their duties effectively. You will ensure that your teams are deployed correctly and daily tasks are clearly communicated to comply with safety and quality.
You will play a key role in the Buildings Logistics Department, ensuring that correct equipment is available and teams follow health, safety, environmental and quality protocols. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining KPI3s, safe system of work, DABs and day notes.
Responsibilities
* Provide support with a managed operational building logistics service in line with scope.
* Review and implement SOPs and ensure the organisational structure supports effective delivery.
* Manage Supervisors and Chargehands to ensure duties are carried out effectively.
* Coordinate and communicate daily tasks to maintain safety and quality compliance.
* Ensure correct equipment is available and that teams follow safety, environmental and quality protocols.
* Develop and maintain KPI metrics, safe system of work, DABs and day notes.

* Salary starting from £63,000 (dependent on experience).

What Do We Need From You
* CITB certificate (Managers and Professional standards) – must be obtained before start date.
* Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or working towards it – to be obtained within initial 3 months of employment.
* Construction Logistics Experience as a Logistics Manager or similar role.
* Operational involvement with construction management.
* Experience in creating Organisational Structures.
* Ability to create and deliver strategic and operational planning.
* Ability to create SOPs and Method Statements.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient IT skills, especially MS Office.
* Ability to interact comfortably with blue and white-collar teams.
Desirable Qualifications
* CSCS Black Card
* Level 6 or above NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Management
* IOSH Managing Safely
* People management experience (disciplinary, investigations, absence management, grievance, performance management)
* Experience using time and attendance systems
Site Information
* You must be able to provide a 3-year work/unemployment/education history for vetting per HPC protocols.
* You must be able to obtain the HPC pass.
* The site is located remotely and a 45-minute bus journey is required to gain access.
