Sales Administrator

Location: Okehampton
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £25,000

We are working with a well-established construction supplier who is looking to recruit a Sales Administrator to join their busy and growing team. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting multiple departments across the business.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Act as the first point of contact for customers, handling enquiries via phone and email
2. Manage the shared inbox, responding to new client enquiries and directing leads to the Sales team
3. Process customer orders from start to finish, liaising with multiple teams across the business
4. Organise and schedule deliveries
5. Carry out credit checks, raise invoices, and ensure all order-related paperwork is completed accurately
6. Maintain and update customer records and internal systems
7. Monitor stock levels and place orders for supplies as required
8. Provide after-sales support to customers and feedback insights to the Sales team
9. Handle initial sales enquiries before passing qualified leads to Sales colleagues
10. Support internal HR administration, including managing HR system queries for the team

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

11. Some knowledge of the construction industry (advantageous but not essential)
12. Strong communication skills with a professional and friendly telephone manner
13. Experience in a busy administration or office support role
14. Confidence working closely with different departments and stakeholders
