I am looking for a senior Data & AI Scientist to join a high-performing Group Data function where you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of Data Science and AI across the organisation.
This is not just a modelling role. I need someone who can identify high-impact opportunities, translate complex business challenges into analytical solutions, and take machine learning and Generative AI use cases all the way from experimentation to production deployment.
You will:
* Lead the design and productionisation of ML and GenAI solutions delivering measurable business value
* Partner with senior stakeholders to prioritise advanced analytics initiatives
* Establish best practices across Data Science and MLOps
* Work closely with Data Engineering and Architecture teams to ensure scalable model deployment
* Provide thought leadership in AI, ML and GenAI innovation
* Mentor and develop Data Scientists to build a high-performing team
To be successful, you will bring:
* Advanced Python skills with production-grade experience
* Strong SQL and experience working with large datasets
* Hands-on cloud experience (Azure, AWS or Snowflake)
* Expertise in machine learning frameworks (eg scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
* Strong knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, embeddings and evaluation techniques
* MLOps experience (CI/CD, MLflow, containerisation, monitoring)
* A background in financial services (wealth or asset management preferred)
* The ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive adoption of AI-led decision making
