What You'll Be Doing
As a Trainee / Junior Mechanic, your typical day will include:
* Carrying out vehicle servicing and routine maintenance to manufacturer standards
* Assisting with mechanical repairs and component replacement
* Supporting senior technicians with fault diagnosis using modern diagnostic equipment
* Learning to inspect mechanical, electrical, and vehicle management systems
* Road testing vehicles to confirm repairs and reset warning lights
* Creating customer vehicle health check videos explaining findings clearly
* Completing digital job cards, inspection sheets, and service documentation
* Maintaining workshop tools, equipment, and stock responsibly
* Keeping your work area clean, safe, and organised
* Following all health & safety procedures at all times
You will gradually take on more responsibility as your skills and confidence grow.

What We're Looking For
* Level 2 Vehicle Maintenance qualification (preferred)
* Some workshop experience in a busy automotive environment
* Strong interest in vehicle diagnostics and modern automotive technology
* Good communication skills and willingness to learn
* Team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
* Computer literate (Microsoft Office knowledge essential)
* Experience with garage management systems (desirable)
* Full UK driving licence
* Right to work in the UK

* Basic salary £20,000 – £30,000 DOE (reviewed after 6 months)
