About the Role
We are seeking a Packaging Account Manager to join our team and be a key player in driving our business and supporting a cluster of European markets for our client McDonald’s on packaging as well as growth categories. Your primary objective is to provide exceptional service that aligns seamlessly with both tms and McDonald’s overarching strategic framework. This role is client facing and you would join a dynamic team within a larger, globally operating company. The Packaging Account Manager, known internally as Account & Local Market Activity Manager, reports to the Senior Account Manager and is based in our London Office. The individual in this role will join a highly motivated team in charge of managing the packaging of one of the world’s biggest brands, at a moment in time where meeting challenges around packaging and sustainability improvements has never been so important.

Key Responsibilities
* Operational Excellence: Take charge of ensuring the successful delivery of our services in your assigned market(s), adhering to market-specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and promptly resolving any operational issues that may arise. Your focus will be on meeting and surpassing our clients' expectations.
* Client Satisfaction and Relationship Management: Prioritize client satisfaction and oversee the health of our relationships with all stakeholders at McDonald’s. Take a proactive approach to address challenges and develop comprehensive plans to enhance client engagement and loyalty.
* Strengthening Customer Relationships: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with all local stakeholders across McDonald's Supply Chain, Marketing, Operations, Communication and local franchisees when possible. Solidify our position as a strategic and valued partner.
* Collaboration and Issue Resolution: Collaborate effectively with McDonald's and tms’ functions to resolve complex issues between different departments, ensuring seamless operations and reinforcing our commitment to delivering value.
* Business Growth Initiatives: Identify and pursue growth opportunities in collaboration with McDonald's. Proactively propose innovative services and strategically expand existing categories to capitalize on market potential and foster growth.
* Strategic Market Insights: Navigate the dynamic global and market landscape strategically, identifying win/win solutions that benefit our customers and drive sustainable growth for our company.
* Provide regular feedback: to your line manager and align with them on strategic decisions.
Your role is instrumental in shaping our market presence and forging strong partnerships. Your leadership will play a pivotal role in positioning us for continued success and growth within McDonald’s.
Skills and Experience
* Proven Business Experience: 3‑5 years of demonstrated experience in an account management role or a category management role with client interaction, preferably within the packaging industry.
* Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or equivalent field.
* Customer & Communication Skills: Strong client focus with excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation abilities; fluent English required, other European languages a plus.
* Project & Time Management: Proven ability to plan, execute, and deliver complex projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
* Problem Solving & Autonomy: Proactive, solution‑oriented, and capable of working independently with integrity and trust.
* Collaboration & Influence: Effective team player, skilled at stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and building strong relationships.
* Industry & Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of packaging production processes, budgeting/financial control, and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Hybrid role based in our London offices.
* Willingness and availability for occasional ad‑hoc travel within Europe to attend meetings and client engagements is required.
