Job overview

A rare opportunity has arisen to join our Surgery Pharmacy Team at Manchester University Foundation Trust Pharmacy team based at the Oxford Road Campus. This is a great chance for a highly motivated pharmacist to join, and learn from, a highly experienced team of specialist surgical pharmacists in a nationally renowned teaching hospital trust. We provide pharmaceutical care to the following surgical specialities, many of which are tertiary services:

* Head & Neck
* Urology
* Elective Surgical Admissions

There will also be the opportunity to gain experience in:

* Major trauma
* Orthopaedics
* Emergency Surgical Admissions.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will have directorate responsibility for urology allowing them the opportunity to gain experience in a number of areas including service & guideline development, new drug applications, MDT working and audit, whilst also gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience in a range of surgical specialities.

Applicants must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team whilst also managing their own workload. The role is perfect if you are innovative, enthusiastic, dynamic, flexible, compassionate, and passionate about providing excellent pharmaceutical care to patients throughout their surgical journey.

This post is based at the Oxford Road Campus.

We look forward to appointing a pharmacist who is GPhC registered with previous hospital experience, has completed their first year of the diploma or is working towards this and possesses the necessary skills to work in our clinical service in one of the largest teaching hospital trusts in the UK.
