Surrounded by the rolling Devon countryside with stunning views of the coast too, our client is a luxurious 4 star standard boutique hotel, near Salcombe, serving up high quality dishes, using fresh ingredients in their 2 AA Rosette awarded restaurant. In addition, the hotel has a large outdoor terrace area which opens seasonally and offers a selection of freshly prepared pizzas. Where possible, ingredients are sourced locally in Devon or grown in the hotel’s own kitchen garden.

The hotel is also able to cater for weddings and private events for up to 120 covers.

Staff accommodation is available if required, however, please note that this hotel is situated in a remote location with no public transport links, therefore, this role may be best suited to someone with their own transport.

What’s involved?

Working as part of a team of 9 talented chefs, the successful Chef de Partie will be an experienced chef who is confident to run a section independently in the kitchen, whilst supporting with the preparation, cooking and presentation of food for the restaurants and events, using fresh ingredients.

You will be a team player, able to work under pressure and multi-task to deliver great food, promptly. You will assist in the training of other team members whilst also working closely with the Head Chef to assist with menu planning and creating new dishes.

As an experienced chef, the successful Chef de Partie will ensure both themselves and the team have a high standard of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety at all times.

The successful Chef de Partie will be an experienced chef with a good eye for detail and the ability to cook dishes to a high standard, using fresh ingredients.
