Please note that this is a short term, 3-5 week contract.
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Rack and Stack Technician to support a short-term data centre deployment project in Harlow, UK. This role involves physical installation, cabling, and documentation of servers and emulator equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in datacentre environments and be comfortable working flexible hours, including after-hours shifts.
Responsibilities
* Rack and cable servers/Emulator parts
* Label and document equipment installations
* Perform basic power-on checks and report issues
* Support datacentre team with moves/adds/changes
* Basic IT knowledge
* Moving crates with equipment inside
* Unpacking equipment
Required Skills & Experience
* Basic datacentre experience (hardware handling, cabling, labelling)
* Ability to lift and install Emulators parts/servers/equipment (up to 50lbs)
* Ability to lift and install Emulators Chassis/Emulator parts/Heavy equipment using Genie (up to 250lbs)
* Familiarity with datacentre/heavy equipment safety procedures
* Understanding of rack layouts and documentation
* Availability for flexible shift/after hours work during deployment
