Role: Lecturer in Business and Tourism Management Department: Academic Location: United Kingdom (On-site) Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week) Salary: Competitive (commensurate with experience) Role Overview We are seeking Lecturers to contribute to teaching across undergraduate levels on the BSc (Hons) Business and Tourism Management programme. The role requires flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings, and weekends in line with the programme delivery model. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess teaching to ensure programme learning outcomes are achieved Teach modules including Tourism Marketing Principles, Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship in Tourism, and Understanding Customers Develop and update course materials aligned with academic and quality standards Provide academic guidance, feedback, and student support Support learners through face-to-face and online/distance learning delivery Participate in quality assurance, staff development, and academic administration Maintain accurate academic and student records Demonstrate professional conduct in all interactions with staff and students Essential Criteria Honours degree and Master’s degree in a relevant subject area PhD or equivalent high-level professional experience in the related discipline Previous lecturing experience on similar higher education courses Experience supervising student work and providing constructive feedback Experience teaching within the wider business and tourism subject area Experience supporting learners both online and face-to-face Strong subject knowledge and commitment to continuous professional development Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills Ability to work effectively with diverse student cohorts Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines Desirable Criteria Teaching qualification or professional recognition (e.g. PGCert Academic Practice, Fellowship of HEA, or international equivalent) Experience in distance learning delivery and blended teaching models Eligibility to Work Candidates must be legally authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
