Clinical Support Worker, Willow C
Band 3 37.5 hours.
We are a medical cardiology ward caring for patients with a variety of medical and cardiac conditions. You will be welcomed into a friendly team with a variety of tasks and patient activities throughout the day.
* Assist the registered nurses (or other healthcare practitioners) in providing high quality patient care.
* When trained and deemed competent, undertake clinical activities using appropriate equipment.
* Maintain patients' privacy and dignity at all times and provide care in a compassionate and sensitive manner.
* Be an effective part of the multi‑disciplinary team contributing to departmental objectives.
* Develop and maintain competencies in nursing tasks to maintain high quality safe care.
* Post holder will be expected to contribute to housekeeping and other ward/department duties as required, e.g. general tidiness, replenish stock and ensure clinical equipment is clean, working and stored correctly.
* Contribute to the work of the department by working under direct or indirect supervision of registered practitioners or assistant practitioners.
The successful candidate will work in support of the registered nursing team in providing the fundamentals of care for our patients. You will be expected to undertake the care certificate to enhance your knowledge and the care that you provide.
The role requires staff to work days, nights and weekends.
