Job summary
Lonsdale Medical Group is a 20,000 patient Practice located near Queens Park Station with a team of clinicians and administrative staff making up a team of over 50 staff members.
Just off the main road of Salusbury Road, there are local shops, restaurants, bakeries, and coffee shops, along with staff parking available outside the Practice.

Working hours will be Monday to Friday and some Saturdays. The hours will be between 8am - 8pm, you working day will be 7.5 hours.
Main duties of the job
As a medical receptionist, you are the fundamental base of the Practice, and so the ideal candidate would have previous GP Practice (or similar to) experience along with:
* Knowledge of EMIS system; experience in booking, amending, cancelling appointments,
* Familiar with prescription request issuance
* E-consults
* Actioning emails
* Docman
* Tasks
* Front desk reception duties
* Registrations
* Excellent IT skills
* Confident and compassionate
* Superb communication skills are essential to the role.
* Positive attitude at all times

Thefollowing are the core responsibilities of the receptionist. There may be onoccasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent uponfactors such as workload and staffing levels:
a. Maintainingand monitoring the practice appointment system
b. Processpersonal, telephone and e-requests for appointments
c. Answerincoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers requestappropriately
d. Signpostpatients to the correct service
e. Initiatingcontact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members andexternal agencies
f. Readcode data on Emis Web
g. Photocopydocumentation as required
h. Dataentry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information asrequired
i. Inputdata into the patients healthcare records as necessary
j. Directrequests for information i.e. SAR, insurance / solicitors letters and DVLAforms to the administrative team
k. Manageall queries as necessary in an efficient manner
l. Carryout system searches as requested
m. Maintaina clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
n. Monitorand maintain the reception area and notice boards
o. Supportall clinical staff with general tasks as requested
Inaddition to the primary responsibilities, the medical administrator may berequested to:
a. Partakein audit as directed by the audit lead
b. Supportadministrative staff, providing cover during staff absences
c. Actionincoming faxes when necessary
d. Scanningof patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patientshealthcare records
e. Completeopening and closing procedures in accordance with the duty rota
f. Support in the management of repeat prescriptions,ensuring they are processed accurately andefficiently
