Night Shift Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Food Manufacturing / FMCG -Tamworth -£48,000 Benefits -Permanent Nights | 38 Hours Per Week Shift Pattern Sunday: 10:00pm 4:30am Monday Thursday: 6:00pm 2:30am The Opportunity Were recruiting for a Night Shift Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established food manufacturing business in Tamworth. This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone with strong experience within food production or FMCG environments who enjoys working directly on the production floor, solving process issues, and ensuring production runs smoothly and efficiently. Youll work closely with the Engineering Manager and production teams to support factory performance, minimise downtime, and improve machinery reliability across the site. This role would suit candidates from: Food Manufacturing FMCG Production Engineering Process Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Maintenance Engineering Key Responsibilities Identifying and solving process issues on the production floor Ensuring production runs smoothly and efficiently Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) Responding to machinery breakdowns and production stoppages Fault finding across mechanical, electrical and basic electronic systems Performing aspects of the PMP under the guidance of the Engineering Manager Supporting continuous improvement activities Training operators on machinery and equipment usage Working closely with production teams to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime You may have experience working on: Conveyors Automatic packing machinery Pumps Printers & coders Air compressors Robotics Refrigeration systems Industrial boilers Ice cream freezers Ammonia compressors What Were Looking For Proven experience within food manufacturing or FMCG Previous experience within: Maintenance Engineering Production Engineering Process Engineering Experience working within a BRC accredited factory Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Hands-on engineering approach Comfortable working permanent night shifts Positive and proactive attitude Experience with refrigeration systems, ammonia compressors or industrial boilers would be advantageous, however training can be provided.
