SEND & Alternative Provision Mentors / Tutors - Ross-on-Wye Area

Quantum Scholars are currently looking for dedicated and supportive individuals to provide 1:1 SEND tuition and mentoring support to young people in Ross-on-Wye and surrounding areas.
Many of the pupils requiring support are currently outside of mainstream education and may face challenges linked to SEND, SEMH, autism, anxiety, behavioural needs, trauma, medical needs, or school avoidance.
This is highly rewarding work for people who want to make a meaningful impact by helping vulnerable young people rebuild confidence, engagement, and trust in education.
Who We're Looking For
This opportunity may suit people with experience in:
Teaching or teaching assistance
Youth work or mentoring
SEND, pastoral, or behavioural support
Alternative provision or PRU settings
Coaching or therapeutic support rolesWe are especially interested in individuals who are calm, patient, reliable, and able to build positive relationships with young people.
About the Role
Deliver 1:1 tuition and mentoring support to primary and secondary-aged pupils
Provide support tailored to both educational and emotional needs
Sessions may take place in homes, schools, community settings, online, or through hybrid arrangements
Flexible tutoring opportunities available throughout Ross-on-Wye and nearby areasThere is immediate and ongoing demand for tutors, with regular referrals continuing throughout the academic year.
Requirements
Experience supporting children or young people
Good communication and relationship-building skills
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Ability to travel locally within the Ross-on-Wye area
Driving and access to a vehicle would be highly beneficial
