Team Leader
Location: Northampton
Salary: £30,775 - £33,205 per annum
You have significant experience of individual client work with adults/young people in an addictions or social care setting. You also possess knowledge of drugs, alcohol, and health-related issues, along with effective interventions to support behaviour change. Aquarius is a charity dedicated to helping people and communities overcome harm caused by alcohol, drugs, and gambling. We are currently seeking a Team Leader to join our NGAGE Young People's Service in Northampton. NGAGE is an early intervention drug and alcohol service for young people aged 10-18, providing information, education, advice, and support regarding drug and alcohol use.
Responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring good clinical practice and compliance with policy and statutory requirements.
2. Providing induction, supervision, coaching, and development reviews for staff.
3. Managing performance issues.
4. Assisting in the recruitment of team members and volunteers.
5. Developing and maintaining effective liaison with commissioners and service providers.
6. Managing the service budget, ensuring proper recording and data reporting.
7. Promoting Aquarius' values and mission actively.
Ideal candidate attributes:
* A professional qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g., NVQ Level 4 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies).
* Proven experience in the substance misuse field with a commitment to further training.
* Knowledge of drugs, alcohol, health issues, and effective behavioural interventions.
* Experience in staff supervision, management, training, and partnership working (including voluntary and statutory services).
* A good understanding of safeguarding procedures.
* Strong IT skills and a flexible, person-centred approach.
