Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting for a global manufacturing business, who are looking to recruit an additional Manufacturing Engineer into the team.
Based in Sheffield, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is looking for the opportunity to work autonomously, to add value to the manufacturing processes.
As the manufacturing Engineer you will:
1. Prepare and revise Bills of Materials (Product Structures), drawings and work instructions for Manufacturing while interacting with hourly employees and office personnel
2. Work on special projects including equipment justification, equipment redesign/new design and shop efficiency improvements.
3. Conduct feasibility studies, determine manpower and cost estimates, and develop engineering criteria.
4. Perform analyses to develop design options or recommendations for structures, systems, and components.
5. Support Lean Initiatives throughout the plant, and identify potential areas for improvement. Working cross functionally with other team members has primary responsibility for process design and modifications. Continuously improve the workflow and procedures in the assembly of equipment
6. Research, sources, and documents proposals for new equipment and manufacturing methods. Implement solutions when approved. Support staff training
7. Perform Safety Incident Investigation with the H&S team, as needed. Conducts safety inspections and tasks as required. Creating Job Safety Analysis for new processes (JSA)
To be considered for the Manufacturing Engineer role you will have:
8. Degree in Engineering or equivalent
9. 10+ years of experience within a Manufacturing environment
10. Previous experience in using Solidworks, tolerancing and clash analysis
11. Experience in the design of jigs and fixtures
12. Good knowledge of lean manufacturing tools
