About the job
Reporting to the Cheese and Whey Process Team Leader requirements of the role will include:
1. Running process operations and understanding control measures - Membrane Filtration, Pasteurisation, Separation, tanker loading
2. Day to day data gathering / checking and sample testing
3. Ensuring production plans are completed on time, carrying out corrective actions as appropriate
4. Ensuring high standards of Food Safety, Quality and Health & Safety are maintained including compliance to “MO”
5. Providing support to the Team Leader and Specialist when required
6. Highlighting issues that will affect daily plans, working with the maintenance department to overcome obstacles and implement recovery plans
Who you are
Ideally the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and a good understanding of process flow. They must be comfortable wworking using their own initiative under pressure with minimum supervision.
Must be a proactive team player who is able to build good working relationships with both internal colleagues and external customers. They will be contributing to continuous improvement and demonstrating Lean principles for example problem solving, DRMs and 5S whilst also ensuring a safe, clean and good working environment utilising 5S principles.
You must have a very flexible attitude to hours of work as the role will include weekend, shift working on a rota basis and holiday cover.
