L7 – L11 (currently £58,844 – £64,933 pa)
This post is full-time and permanent and will start in January 2026, or sooner if possible.
Ysgol Penrhyn Dewi VA is a 3-16 Church in Wales school that serves the historic city of St.Davids and surrounding areas. Based in the picturesque surroundings of the Pembrokeshire National Park, the school is a caring, inclusive and welcoming environment where pupils and staff are proud of the Christian and community ethos. The school has strong links with the cathedral and local community where there are extensive opportunities for outdoor and adventurous pursuits, sports plus social and cultural activities.
The school is looking to appoint an innovative practitioner who is passionate about learning and teaching, local, regional and national priorities plus curriculum developments within Wales. The Governing Body require an inspirational individual to work strategically as part of the Senior Improvement Team to continue to drive school improvement providing the best educational experiences for our school family. Applications are welcomed from both primary and secondary trained teachers with leadership experience, irrespective of their subject specialism.

Is passionate about inclusion, ensuring all children receive the best possible support and provision to maximise their potential.
Has vision and drive to ensure all our pupils and staff have high aspirations and can succeed.
Will model and possess the skills and experience to line manage and inspire staff whilst promoting inclusion within YPDVA.
Is sympathetic to the Christian ethos and values of a Church in Wales Voluntary Aided school.
