Our client, based in the East Cheshire area, are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer with machinery design experience.
This is a permanent role paying £50,000 - £55,000 per annum.
Work is on days working from Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm.
The job is commutable from the following areas:
* Crewe, Middlewich, Holmes Chapel, Congleton, Macclesfield, Leek, Northwich, Knutsford, Biddulph Newcastle-under-Lyme & North Stoke areas.
To be considered for the Mechanical Design role, you will need to have 5-10+ years' experience working within mechanical machinery design, working to tight design tolerances and understanding interactions between moving parts; covering process machinery/plant design & associated ancillary equipment, bearings, shafts, rotating machinery, seals etc.
They may also be open to a less experienced Engineer with relevant machinery design experience.
DUTIES:
* Design and detailing of machinery and mechanical engineering components.
* Calculations using standard formulas and codes.
* Ensuring the design meets the clients specification whilst meeting value engineering principles.
* Ensuring that the design is consistent with standards and safe working practices.
* Liaising and working closely with different in house teams, including production & senior management.
* Site visits to customer sites to discuss specifications and taking dimensions where necessary.
