Are you an experienced HR professional ready to take the lead in a dynamic, multi-site environment? Were looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Business Partner to drive forward the HR agenda and support operational teams across Gloucester and Manchester.
This is a hands-on role where your expertise in employee relations, policy development, and team leadership will make a real impact. Youll be working closely with managers and staff to deliver a high-quality HR service, while mentoring and empowering a HR Advisor (and ideally a HR Administrator).
What Youll Be Doing
Lead and manage complex ER cases, including appeals, grievances, and absence
Support the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, performance, and development
Streamline HR processes to suit a growing business
Create, maintain, and roll out HR policies
Act as HR lead in change management, including TUPE and redundancy consultations
Build strong relationships with line managers to understand and support their needs
Empower the HR Advisor to confidently support operational teams
Collaborate with the wider HR team to embed new strategies and initiatives
Maintain accurate records and produce reports as needed
Travel occasionally to the Manchester site as part of your remit
What Were Looking For
Proven experience managing a HR Advisor and operating at Senior Advisor level
Strong ER background with hands-on case management
Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
Confident communicator with great problem-solving and organisational skills
Comfortable working independently and across multiple sites
Experience with TUPE and redundancy processes
Ability to interpret policies and offer pragmatic, people-focused solutions
CIPD Level 5 or equivalent
