Purpose of the Job:
To provide a support service by maintaining a clean, safe and healthy environment for adults and children. To ensure that designated areas of the school are kept clean and hygienic in order that the school gives a good impression and benefits all stakeholders.
Duties include:
· Responsible for cleaning a defined area of school in line with agreed procedures and standards
· Determine cleaning priorities in conjunction with the Site Manager or Senior Admin Officer
· Any other cleaning as deemed necessary
· To participate in CPD when required
Supporting the school
At an appropriate level, according to the job role, grade and training received, all employees in the school are expected to:
· Support the aims, values, and ethos of the school and participate in a team approach to all aspects of school life and work within school policies.
· To participate in CPD training in personal/professional development as required.
· Attend and contribute to staff meetings and INSET days as required and identify areas of personal practice and experience to develop.
· Take appropriate responsibility for safeguarding and children's welfare and be aware of confidential issues linked to home/child/teacher/school and keep confidences appropriately.
Be aware of Health and Safety issues and act in accordance with the school's Health and Safety Policy.
Please note that the hours are 4-6pm, Monday to Friday - 52 weeks per year
