We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic, dynamic, forward-thinking Band 6 Recovery Team Leader to join us in this exciting field. We cover many specialties like, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Urology, Gynaecology, ENT, General Surgery, Colorectal, Maxillofacial, Day case surgery and Emergency.

This role is ideal for motivated, experienced nurse looking to advance their career in a leadership position within a dynamic PACU setting, focused on safe, compassionate patient care.
PACU covers Main Theatres, Day Surgery Unit, Obstetrics and other satellite areas within the Trust. PACU requires staff to be flexible, adaptable and skilled.
Main duties of the job
The Band 6 PACU Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality post-operative care to patients recovering from anaesthesia. This role involves monitoring patient’s vital signs, managing pain, and ensuring a safe transition from the immediate post-operative phase until the patient is ready for transfer to a ward or discharge. The Band 6 PACU Nurse is expected to have advanced clinical knowledge and skills to lead, supervise, and mentor junior staff while ensuring adherence to healthcare standards and protocols.
Our service is continuing to expand and we embrace new developments within Recovery clinical area. This includes learning new practice and keeping up to date with changes within the clinical setting. This in turn reduces the patients stay in hospital. We are constantly striving to improve our patient’s outcome with research and innovative ideas.
