Senior Building Surveyor
Location: Epping (Hybrid)
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 (DOE)

A leading independent, partner-led consultancy is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join its Epping office. With over 60 years of organic growth and involvement in landmark UK projects - from the British Museum framework to large-scale urban regeneration - this is an excellent opportunity to step into a pivotal role delivering high-quality surveying services across multiple sectors.
Working within a collaborative and professional environment, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a broad range of professional services, while also mentoring junior staff and supporting long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake a full range of building surveying services including PPM surveys, defects analysis, dilapidations, and compliance reports.
Prepare detailed specifications, manage tender processes, and monitor site delivery.
Deliver commercial surveys and related survey work independently.
Provide technical expertise in design/CAD-related areas where appropriate, contributing to specifications and project delivery.
Act as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining strong professional relationships.
Support and mentor junior team members and APC candidates.
Contribute to maintaining high standards of delivery across the team, with opportunities to progress toward Associate level.
Candidate Requirements:
MRICS qualified (or equivalent).
Strong background in professional building surveying services.
Experience undertaking commercial surveys and delivering projects independently.
Proficiency in design/CAD is advantageous.
Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
Strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Experience working in a consultancy or multi-disciplinary environment.
