Clinical or Counselling Psychologist or Psychotherapist
Join to apply for the Clinical or Counselling Psychologist or Psychotherapist role at Cheswold Park Hospital. The post is for 30 hours a week, Band 7, working within the MDT to deliver evidence-based treatment and undertake psychological assessments, with duties as the duty worker. Applications from those trained in integrative approaches or in CBT, EMDR and/or DBT are welcome.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist psychological skills within a multidisciplinary team and deliver high-quality clinical services to service users.
* Undertake psychological assessments and deliver evidence-based treatment.
* Fulfil the team duty role and collaborate with other professionals and agencies to review and manage care plans.
* Offer consultation, supervision and training where required; supervise Assistant Psychologists and Doctoral trainees as appropriate.
* Operate autonomously within professional guidelines and national policies, while maintaining clinical governance and risk management.
* Attend relevant team meetings and participate in supervision, appraisal and training opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist or registration/accreditation with the relevant psychotherapy body (e.g., UKCP, BABCP, ACAP).
* Hons. Degree in Psychology and a doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology (or an equivalent recognised route).
* Appropriate safeguarding training and the ability to travel around the Trust as required.
* Full professional registration in the UK for the relevant model of practice (Psychologist or Psychotherapist).
Desirable
* Chartered status eligibility for Clinical or Counselling Psychologist; 2:1 minimum for some roles.
* Experience working with adults with moderate to severe mental health issues and in groups or diverse clinical settings.
Skills and Attributes
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a MDT.
* IT literate and able to utilise psychometric tools appropriate to the age range.
* Commitment to supervision, reflective practice and continuing professional development.
* Flexible, caring and a team player with a client-centered approach.
Additional Information
* Pay: Band 7, £47,810 to £54,710 a year.
* Contract: Permanent, Part-time, Flexible working
