Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced designer to take ownership of projects, mentor junior colleagues, and drive innovation across our product range.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out dimensional site surveys on projects throughout the UK and in Europe.
* Attendance at design meetings, both on site and online.
* Production of general arrangement drawings.
* Production of detailed manufacturing and installation drawings.
* Coordinate design with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
* Production of as-built drawings.
* Mentoring & coaching of junior and mid-level colleagues.
Requirements
* Experience at a manufacturing business producing sheet metal products or structural steel.
* Have a good understanding of installation best practices.
* Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
* Ability to communicate, both in writing and in person, in a professional manner at all levels.
* Excellent knowledge of 2D AutoCAD.
* Have a full driving license and passport, and a willingness to travel abroad for work occasionally.
* Flexibility and ability to learn quickly.
* A growth mindset and a proactive mentality.

* Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and/or Revit is advantageous.
* Relevant training/qualifications could be beneficial.
