MCS Group is excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join our client's team on a full-time basis. This role is essential in maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring all products meet customer specifications.
Based on-site in Dundalk, you will play a key role in inspection processes, working closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections according to customer specifications and documented quality plans.
2. Approve in-process production by verifying specifications through visual and measurement tests, and communicate findings effectively to production teams.
3. Collaborate with team members across shifts to ensure smooth handovers and continuity.
4. Assist in training personnel on quality processes and best practices.
5. Conduct sampling for new processes and equipment approval.
6. Identify and document non-conformances, initiating and verifying corrective actions.
7. Support continuous improvement projects and cross-functional teams.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization following 5S principles.
9. Perform other duties as required to support quality and production objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Relevant experience in a quality inspection role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency with inspection instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
* Ability to read engineering drawings and work with imperial and metric measurements.
* Understanding of calibration systems for inspection equipment.
* Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Flexible and enthusiastic attitude in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
