Position: Regional Business Manager North UK Reports to: Commercial Director UKINORD Apellis is seeking a passionate and talented Regional Business Manager North UK. This is a unique opportunity to be part of creating the new field team and make a significant impact within ophthalmology for both HCPs and their patients in support of the future product launch across the region. You will be deeply engaged with cross-functional colleagues, fostering collaboration and accountability, working closely with colleagues to build and execute the strategic and commercial plans for a first in class and first to market treatment in geographic atrophy, a disease area that currently does not have any approved therapies in the given markets. Geographic atrophy is a condition with a high unmet medical need and a leading cause of blindness around the world. You will be contributing to the development and execution of launch initiatives including creating a culture of learning and growth to drive high performance within the ophthalmology team. Driving the implementation of the customer centric Key Account Management approach, create and maintain a competitive in call skill set within the commercial division and develop disease area knowledge to be the subject matter expert for the commercial team. The Regional Business Manager alongside other functions within the business will continue to enhance and improve the team performance of the KAM customer facing role to include field coaching, digital excellence, a culture of continuous self improvement and fulfilment of team objectives whilst leading by example and ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory and industry requirements and internal company Standard Operating Procedures as appropriate. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for hiring, development and ongoing upskilling of new team build of Key Account Managers in defined region: North UK Lead and manage the KAM team, including coordinating daily activities in line with company expectations Setting targets, holding to account and managing performance against KPIs and relevant metrics Lead the KAMs to develop customer and account centric business plans In field performance coaching to ensure high quality in call excellence Coaching and motivating team to achieve goals Generate sales revenue for Apellis, working in-field, meeting and exceeding targets Plan and monitor KAMs operational expenditure and resource deployment and be responsible for financial management of sales budgets within the agreed operational budget Overseeing the delivery of digital activity.
