Purchasing Manager
An established manufacturing company based in Birmingham requires a purchasing manager.
Purchasing Manager Duties:
* Identify new suppliers (steel, wood panels, fittings etc.) and negotiate contracts and supply arrangements.
* Manage supplier performance and run quarterly reviews.
* Draft a rolling 3-year procurement strategy and develop a KPI dashboard to monitor it's progress.
* Implement stock management processes.
* Analyse ERP data and MRP recommendations.
* Line management, coaching and developments of purchasing staff.
Purchasing Manager Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years as a senior buyer in a manufacturing environment.
* Supply chain and inventory management experience.
* Understanding of production planning and cycles.
* ERP / MRP knowledge.
* Advanced Excel skills.
Purchasing Manager Hours:
* 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 12.30pm Friday.
