Job Description:

The Sous Chef will work alongside line chefs to ensure every dish is prepared to our high standards. The role is a leadership position but still requires you to be hands-on—perfect for someone who loves cooking but wants to develop their leadership skills.

With such a large kitchen team, you can focus on each aspect of your role, so when you're on section with the team, you focus on food quality and training; when you're on pass, you lead the team through a great service.

Responsibilities:

* Ensuring correct prep levels by our dedicated prep team.
* Managing deliveries and stock put-away by the Goods Receiver.
* Checking that cleaning rotas are completed.
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.
* Training and mentoring kitchen staff to maintain consistency and excellence.
* Assisting with performance management of kitchen personnel.
* Supporting the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef in maintaining a positive work environment.

Requirements:

* Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a busy kitchen environment.
* Strong culinary skills and a passion for quality and creativity.
* Leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Experience working with a large kitchen team.
* Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety practices, and culinary techniques.
* Understanding of GP and stock control.
* Ability to organise and oversee multiple checks simultaneously.
