The Medical Directorate invites applications for a position of Trust Grade Registrar for 12 months with the possibility of extension. The post is within the General/Acute Medicine Departments and requires a minimum of 2 years of experience within General Medicine and at least Part 2 MRCP.
Responsibilities
* Management of patients admitted to the ward.
* Attend consultant ward rounds, case conferences, outpatient clinics and perform personal ward rounds on acute patients.
* Arrange inpatient discharge summaries, outpatient letters and manage other junior staff on the team.
* Co‑operate and communicate with the management team to deliver a high standard of service to patients.
* Assist with teaching undergraduate medical students attached to the medical firms of this rotation.
* Participate in the acute medicine on‑call rota within the division.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience within General Medicine.
* At least Part 2 MRCP obtained.
