The Role
The successful SEN Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, differentiated learning to pupils with SEMH needs. You will work closely with a skilled multidisciplinary team to support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver tailored, engaging lessons to meet individual needs
2. Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support emotional regulation and engagement
3. Contribute to EHCP reviews, progress tracking, and reporting
4. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff
5. Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
Candidate Requirements
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
7. Experience working with SEN/SEMH learners (desirable but not essential)
8. Strong behaviour management and relational teaching approach
9. Resilient, compassionate, and adaptable nature
10. Commitment to inclusive and child-centred education
